Bird Series, Australia

I’d almost forgotten I took these pictures! I found these two sitting outside the lawn in front of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney on my way to an Annie Liebovitz exhibition titled A Photographer’s Life.

The reason that I was drawn to take a picture of them was because I loved their accessories especially this painted wooden bird pin. They told me that they got their jewelry from a combination of sources including cereal boxes and the Rocks Markets. The Ray-Bans are their only big ticket item, because they have a friend that works at a sunglasses shop.

They are also participating in the great backpack comeback and I am totally behind that. I wish I was laying somewhere the the grass right now. That or an air conditioned museum.
