Happy Birthday to this little munchkin brother. Except he’s now 29 years old. I love babies slash kids in cardigans. Gets me every time. That and chow chows on the streets. Grown up Erwin is founder of GameDay China, one of the first organized American football leagues in the PRC. 1st inaugural game kicks off just in time for Thanksgiving festivities on Sunday, Nov. 27th, at Shanghai’s Nike Football Field inside the Shanghai Sport Center Grounds (alongside Lingling Lu, Shanghai Indoor Stadium).

Closet Swap Part II, Shanghai

It was a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon at The Apartment for our 2nd ever Shanghai Closet Swap. Les Lucioles, SpinNg Sugar, CuKimber, The Hat Lab, Snoozer Loser, Shanghai Naturals and Kaileeni made a lovely giant Pop-Up Shop in the VIP room while guests brunched and swapped out in the terrace. Proceeds were donated to The Carter Center and over 600 items of clothing were donated to River of Hearts. Thanks Shanghai!

This gentleman often swings by WBK just to thumb through our wide range of consignment books. I do love the bookworms. I miss Barnes and Nobles and wish they would enter the market here.

Mister is wearing New York brand Snoozer Loser‘s silk screen print Scarab linen scarf. I happen to also own that same print from SL, but in a jumper.

I would rather be overdressed than underdressed any day. I am all for casual in everyday wear, especially having married into casual (a Hawaiian boy), but so inappropriate. This was taken at the launch of 6 Magazine, a new fashion editorial mag. When the occasion calls for it, dress appropriately. If you don’t know the rules just do not wear board shorts with sandals at a cocktail event or past 8 pm, unless there is a swim-able body of water within 2 miles. The Huangpu River does not count. I wouldn’t even dip my toe in that.

P.S. Please never wear that combo of flowers on flowers ever again, perfect stranger. Honesty hurts.

Iiiiiiii…do not love this look as a whole. But purple loafers win. I think if the shorts and shirt were less schlubby this would work really well. Mocassins kind of beg for a more tailored look, but stick with muted colors on top to let the shoes pop. Fewer anklets might be a good idea too. Just saying.

If anyone recognizes the designer of these shoes let us know!

I met this dashing young taiwanese gent at the Eco Design Fair held at one of my favorite locations, the Waterhouse, on the Bund. I introduce myself. ”Hi my name is Cairn, this is Kate and Adela, you look great, I need to take your photo for our street fashion blog, I want Starbucks, I like your suspenders, what’s this tote, who are you?” And he introduces himself. “Hi, I’m Skyler and I am an artist, I designed this tote, it is called Norman, a country I invented.” I fell in love instantly.

I can’t resist blogging about Curry; especially when I should be doing other more urgent work. That dog is a fantastic accessory doing wonders for the red shorts, royal blue t-shirt and black v-neck pullover color-blocked ensemble.

Methinks that royal blue undershirt might actually be his Untouchaballs uniform; the team not mentioned in this article. Same shirt spied (oh alliteration) this week, on assistant to the stars, Joey Nguyen aka the assistant without the cap.

I’m also jealous of that Coco milk tea. I’ll bet that has brandy in it, because that’s how Mr. Cairn rolls on a day off. Brandy in the morning, brandy in the afternoon, brandy all day long.
