How do you see the indie market growing in the next few years?

I think there will be a lot of growth as consumers become more sophisticated and discerning when it comes to their style choices. They will increasingly want to differentiate themselves and look beyond high street and luxury brands.

What makes you passionate about this stuff?

“I think I speak for a lot of women in that I love dressing up so XINLELU.COM grew organically from just putting together designs that I liked in one place. It boils down to vanity.”

Testing out the new cam, Sony Nex C-S. Highly recommended. Would have stayed with the theme of saturated hipster instagramish (nuts!) photos, but really wanted to show the fluency in color between Ciga’s actual hair color and our Kaileeni peach trousers. She got the way-too-trendy- it-was-over-before-it-started ombre hair, but in Peach/Pink, which makes it NOT over in the least bit. She’s so hot she’s the new Shanghai Closet Swap Event Manager.Drop off dates start April 23rd-May 11th. Actual swap date is Sunday May 13th at the Geisha. Get ready Shanghai… it’s coming!

March 23rd, 2012 marks the 1 year anniversary of Elizabeth Taylor’s departure from us. Nostalgic for the days of dressing up and great efforts in looking completely beautiful and glam. I remember sitting on a stool in the bathroom and watching my grandmother do her hair and face. That’s what Liz Taylor is to me.

Glimpses of spring are showing in hair and in wear. Less itchy, hair covering beanies and more undulant hairdos with headbands. Thermals can finally be put aside for lighter leggings and wool can be replaced with jersey. Thank you sunshine.
